Gareth Roscoe – Chair
Gareth is no longer in paid employment. He is a Barrister and began his career representing legally aided clients at the London Bar. He left practice to join the Government Legal Service and worked in several Government Departments including Environment, Work and Pensions, the Attorney General’s Chambers, Lord Chancellor’s Department and the DTI. He was the Chief Legal Adviser to the BBC from 1989 to 1998. He retains an interest in criminal law, employment law and media law. He was a non-executive director of Optimum and King’s College Hospital NHS Trusts. He has lived in Suffolk for 11 years and joined the Board of ACT in November 2009. He became Chair of the Board in November 2011 and he sits on the Governance, Strategic Development, Finance and Human Resouces Committees.
