Landlords

We work with landlords to provide accommodation for those most in need

Our services

Our services help people to keep a roof over their heads. We have over 280 units of accommodation, from individual self-contained flats to a variety of shared houses across Suffolk and Essex.

We support people with very different needs: from those who are rough sleeping into temporary accommodation, those who require additional support with maintaining a tenancy in our Supported Accommodation and then those who have the skills to move on into their own tenancy. We help with housing applications and teach the skills that enable people to keep their tenancies and maintain their own homes.

As a landlord:

  • you will receive guaranteed rent, with no void between lettings;

  • you will make a huge difference to people in need.

  • you will benefit from ACT's in-house maintenance service

  • you will avoid experiencing the common issues of lost income due to voids or tenant debt

See below for the types of properties that we need:
HMO
Large Houses

Large Houses: 4+ Bedrooms: We are always keen to hear from landlords with larger houses that can be used as HMOs (Houses of Multiple Occupancy). These type of properties are used across the following services: * Accommodation Based Support: Our accommodation based support service provides short-term housing support services for adults who are living in temporary accommodation; * Rough Sleeper Outreach and Accommodation Services: We provide support to those who are homeless and either provide them with a short-term emergency bed in our own accommodation or at other hostels in the area. We then work hard to find them suitable more permanent accommodation to stop them returning to the streets; * Temporary Housing Scheme: The scheme is a response to a lack of accessible accommodation for vulnerable people who are able to live independently and ready to move into permanent accommodation, primarily those on benefits or who cannot provide a guarantor

Family Home
Family Homes

Family Houses: 1+ Bedrooms: Houses with 1 or more bedrooms, and that are more suited to single occupancy can also be used for service users similar to those in larger houses; however, they are more likely to be used for people in the following of ACT's services: * Satellite Domestic Abuse Accommodation with Support: We provide accommodation for victims of domestic abuse who are excluded from the generic refuge provision, such as males, those with substance misuse issues or severe mental health issues. We help them to set up their new homes, maintain their tenancy and support them and their family to start again free from danger; * Refugee Housing Service: The primary purpose of the service is to work with refugees, both individuals and families, to ensure that they are able to access their own independent accommodation as their time within the programme draws to an end.
